Delta Home Additions & ADU in Las Vegas, NV

Delta Home Additions & ADU: The Las Vegas Owner’s Guide

Delta-compatible fixtures and hardware for home additions and ADU projects in Las Vegas typically run $45,000-$130,000 for a full addition and $90,000-$220,000 for a detached ADU, with most Delta component installations completed within the standard project timeline. We stock Delta faucet, shower, and bath hardware lines on our trucks and can source specific Delta series same-day through our Las Vegas supply partners. Most homeowners discover their Delta fixtures are failing when they spot corrosion around valve stems, inconsistent water pressure in the new addition, or leaks that show up only during our summer heat cycles when metal expansion is at its peak.

Which Delta Models This Applies To

Delta’s residential lines break into three tiers, and the part you need depends on which tier your builder or previous contractor installed. The Delta Classic series, including the 13/14 series tub and shower valves, are the most common in Las Vegas ADUs built between 2010 and 2020. The Delta Monitor series with Scald-Guard pressure balancing is what you’ll find in most permitted additions from the mid-2000s onward. The higher-end Delta Trinsic and Cassidy lines show up in custom builds where the homeowner specified finish-matched hardware.

To identify your valve, pop the escutcheon plate and look for a model stamp on the brass valve body, not just the trim kit. The trim might say Delta, but the valve underneath determines what cartridge or replacement part actually fits. We’ve walked into jobs in Summerlin where a previous handyman swapped a Monitor trim onto a Classic valve, and the homeowner couldn’t figure out why the temperature control was erratic. OEM Delta cartridges run $35-$85; quality aftermarket equivalents from Danco or BrassCraft save roughly 40% but won’t carry Delta’s finish warranty. For a Las Vegas addition or ADU, we typically recommend OEM on anything behind the wall and aftermarket on exposed trim that’s easy to swap again.

Signs Your Delta Home Additions & ADU Is Failing

  • Hard water scale buildup on valve stems. Las Vegas water runs 280-320 ppm hardness, and Delta’s rubber O-ring cartridges degrade faster here than in soft-water markets. You’ll notice stiff handle rotation or a squeak when you adjust temperature. The cartridge seals are grinding against mineral deposits, and eventually they’ll tear.
  • Temperature fluctuation when a toilet flushes or dishwasher cycles. This points to a failed pressure-balancing spool in a Monitor series valve. In an ADU with shared plumbing, it’s especially obvious because the compact line runs mean pressure drops hit faster. The spool itself is a $12 part; accessing it without damaging surround tile is where the skill comes in.
  • Dripping from the spout when handles are fully closed. Usually the seat and springs behind the cartridge, a $4 part pair. But in Delta’s diamond-seal ceramic disc faucets, it can mean the entire cartridge assembly has cracked from thermal cycling. Our 110°F summer attic spaces don’t help.
  • Finish pitting or discoloration within 3-5 years. Delta’s Brilliance finishes hold up well, but the standard Chrome and Stainless lines in south-facing Las Vegas additions with minimal window shading can show degradation from UV exposure and airborne desert grit. This is cosmetic, but it’s also a sign the fixture quality may not match the application.
  • Low flow in only the hot or cold side. Often debris caught in the supply line or a partially closed angle stop, but in Delta’s multi-choice universal valves, it can indicate the integral stops were never fully opened during original installation. We’ve found this in ADUs where the original contractor rushed final hookup.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Service Las Vegas Price Range What’s Included
Delta cartridge replacement (single fixture) $180-$340 OEM cartridge, labor, leak test, 730-Day Done Right Promise
Delta valve body replacement (access via wall) $450-$850 Valve, sweat connections, escutcheon, patch and texture to match
Full Delta trim and valve upgrade $650-$1,400 New valve, trim kit, rough-in adjustment, finish match
Whole-addition fixture refresh (4-6 fixtures) $2,200-$4,500 All hardware, labor, disposal, pressure balancing verification

What drives the range: access difficulty (tile surround vs. fiberglass), whether we need to open and repair drywall, and whether your original installation used standard Delta rough-in dimensions or an oddball placement that requires relocation. We quote upfront pricing, no surprises, before any work starts. Every fixture installation carries our 730-Day Done Right Promise, if it’s not done right, we make it right, one of the longest workmanship guarantees in residential construction.

DIY or Call Us?

There’s a clear line here, and it’s not about your skill level, it’s about what’s behind the wall. If you’ve got a surface-mounted Delta trim with visible screws and a standard cartridge, a homeowner with channel locks and a flashlight can handle the swap. Shut the water, pull the cartridge, match the part number at a Las Vegas supply house.

Where DIY goes wrong: opening a wet wall in an addition or ADU without verifying what’s back there. We’ve seen homeowners in Henderson cut into a shared wet wall and find PEX-AL-PEX composite line that requires special expansion tools, or discover the original builder used a non-standard valve depth that puts the trim kit 3/8″ proud of the finished surface. In Las Vegas, any plumbing modification to an ADU also triggers permit verification if the original was permitted as a separate dwelling unit. The ground doesn’t lie, and neither do we, if you’re not certain what’s behind that wall, call us. One trip from our truck saves you three trips to the hardware store and a possible drywall repair.
