Ameristar Bathroom Remodeling in Las Vegas, NV

Ameristar Bathroom Remodeling: The Las Vegas Owner’s Guide

We stock and install Ameristar-compatible bathroom fixtures, vanities, and shower systems in Las Vegas, with most bathroom remodels running $9,000-$28,000 depending on scope and finishes. Most Ameristar part replacements and full bath overhauls are scheduled same-day or next-day once we verify your model specs. Homeowners usually discover an issue when a vanity door won’t square up anymore, a faucet cartridge starts dripping through the finish, or a shower valve body cracks after years of our hard Las Vegas water scaling it from the inside out.

Which Ameristar Models This Applies To

Ameristar’s bathroom line breaks into a few distinct series, and getting the right match matters. The Classic Series vanities and cabinetry use 3/4-inch frame construction with soft-close hinges that are proprietary to that line, meaning big-box replacement hardware won’t seat properly. The Designer Series runs slightly deeper bases, 21 inches versus the standard 18, so a swap without measuring throws off your toilet clearance by a critical 2-3 inches. The Builder Grade shower valve bodies are brass under the finish, but the trim kits cross with Delta’s Monitor series if you know the cartridge type, which is useful when Ameristar OEM trim has a 6-8 week backorder.

Check the inside edge of your vanity door or the back panel of the cabinet box for the white Ameristar label with the 8-digit SKU. For shower valves, the model number is stamped into the brass body behind the trim plate, visible once you remove the escutcheon. We carry both OEM Ameristar parts and quality aftermarket equivalents on our trucks, and we’ll tell you straight which makes sense for your situation. Sometimes the OEM is worth the wait; sometimes the aftermarket outperforms it. Groundwork Construction Co. of Las Vegas is an independent service provider, not affiliated with Ameristar.

Signs Your Ameristar Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing

  • Vanity doors sag or won’t latch. The Ameristar soft-close hinge cups wear out after 7-10 years in Las Vegas homes, especially in master baths where humidity swings between steam-shower wet and AC-dry daily. The plastic bushing inside the hinge mechanism cracks, and the door drops 1/8 inch, enough to miss the catch.
  • Faucet base leaks from underneath. Ameristar’s cartridge seals are EPDM rubber, which hardens faster in our mineral-heavy water. Once the seal goes, water tracks down the spout shank and pools in the cabinet below, often discovered when the particleboard swells.
  • Shower temperature swings hot-cold. The pressure-balancing spool in Ameristar valve bodies gets gummed with calcium. In Las Vegas, this can happen in as little as 4-5 years if you don’t have a whole-house softener. The spool sticks, and your “warm” setting becomes a guessing game.
  • Drawer glides grind or stick. Ameristar uses side-mount ball-bearing glides rated for 75 pounds, but our desert dust infiltrates the races. You’ll feel the catch at about 60% extension, and forcing it bends the retaining bracket.
  • Finish pitting or discoloration. Ameristar’s PVD finishes hold up well, but if your home has a recirculating hot water loop without a tempering valve, the sustained 140°F+ water degrades the topcoat from the inside. We see this most in Summerlin and Henderson homes with tankless setups.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Service Typical Range in Las Vegas
Full bathroom remodel $9,000 - $28,000
Small bathroom remodel $5,000 - $12,000
Walk-in shower installation $4,500 - $12,000
Tub-to-shower conversion $3,500 - $10,000
Shower replacement $3,000 - $8,500
Bathroom vanity installation $800 - $3,000

What drives the range? Three things: whether we’re working within existing walls or moving plumbing, the finish grade you select, and how much demo repair we uncover once the old materials come out. A straightforward vanity swap with an in-stock Ameristar unit runs toward the lower end. A full gut with waterproofing, tile, and a relocated drain pushes higher. Our quotes are upfront pricing, no surprises, parts and labor combined, and every job is covered by our 730-Day Done Right Promise, if it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s one of the longest workmanship guarantees you’ll find in residential construction.

DIY or Call Us?

Here’s where an honest split saves you grief. A homeowner with basic tools can swap an Ameristar faucet cartridge or adjust hinge tension, no problem. But the shower valve body lives inside the wall, and accessing it means cutting tile or drywall, then sweating copper or crimping PEX in a confined space with your home’s main water shut off. Mis-measure by 1/2 inch on a vanity rough-in and you’re either notching studs or ordering a custom top. We’ve walked into too many Las Vegas bathrooms where a weekend project turned into a three-week hold because the valve body was sweated in at an angle that doesn’t match the replacement.

The ground doesn’t lie, and neither do we. If you’re handy and it’s a surface-mount fix, go for it. If it involves water lines behind the wall, gas lines, or structural support, call (855) 951-4361. Our technicians are background-checked and uniformed, and we stock most Ameristar-compatible parts on the truck.
