Ameristar Fence Installation in Las Vegas, NV

Ameristar Fence Installation: The Las Vegas Owner’s Guide

We stock and install Ameristar-compatible fence systems in Las Vegas for $3,500-$9,000 depending on linear footage, terrain, and gate configuration. Most residential Ameristar installs in the valley are completed in one to two days. If your current fence is leaning, rusting through at the base, or the gates no longer latch properly, you’re looking at the same failure pattern we see weekly in Summerlin and Henderson.

The ground doesn’t lie, and neither do we. In Las Vegas, Ameristar fence failure usually starts with the posts. Caliche soil, summer monsoon runoff, and the freeze-thaw cycle through winter nights work the post bases loose. Homeowners notice gates dragging first, then gaps at the bottom rail, then the whole section leaning into the alley or wash. By the time it’s visible from the street, the concrete footing has cracked and the galvanizing at grade has been compromised.

Which Ameristar Models This Applies To

Ameristar builds three residential-grade lines that matter for Las Vegas properties: Montage (ornamental steel), Echelon (aluminum), and Aegis (industrial-style security). The Montage II and Echelon Plus are what we install most in gated communities from Southern Highlands to Aliante. Check the rail tag or invoice for the series name; if that’s gone, measure the picket wall thickness. Montage steel runs 18-gauge on residential, 16-gauge on commercial. Echelon aluminum is .080″ wall minimum for wind-load compliance in Clark County.

Here’s where owners get tripped up. Ameristar’s bracket system is proprietary. The pressed-steel bracket that connects the rail to the post has a specific offset angle. Generic fence brackets from a big-box store won’t seat flush, and the powder coat won’t match. We source Ameristar OEM hardware through their regional distributor in North Las Vegas. Aftermarket equivalents exist for posts and pickets, but for brackets and gate hinges, OEM is worth the wait. The wrong bracket creates a stress point that cracks the rail in two to three years.

To identify your exact system: look for the laser-etched part number on the bottom rail’s interior face, or photograph the bracket profile where the rail meets the post. We can match it from a phone pic.

Signs Your Ameristar Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Gate drags or won’t latch. The post has shifted in its footing, or the hinge bracket has elongated its bolt holes from years of wind load. In Las Vegas, afternoon gusts off the desert hit 40+ mph regularly; that repeated torque loosens everything.
  • Gaps under the bottom rail. Either the footing has settled, or the grade has eroded from irrigation runoff. We see this constantly in properties backing up to desert wash areas where drainage wasn’t planned.
  • Rust blooming at post bases or weld points. Ameristar’s galvanizing is solid, but once the powder coat is nicked at grade level, the salt and alkali in our soil accelerate corrosion. The Spring Valley area has particularly aggressive soil chemistry.
  • Rails pulling out of brackets. The self-tapping screws have stripped, usually because the installer used a standard screw instead of Ameristar’s specified #12-14 TEK screw with the correct thread pitch.
  • Loose or missing pickets. Aluminum pickets in Echelon systems can walk out of the rail if the retaining clip fails; steel pickets in Montage systems rarely fail unless the rail itself has bent from impact.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Full Ameristar fence installation in Las Vegas runs $3,500-$9,000. The low end covers a straightforward 100-linear-foot Montage steel install on level ground with one walk gate. The high end gets you 200+ feet of Echelon aluminum on sloped terrain with automated driveway gates, multiple pedestrian gates, and custom scrollwork.

What moves you within that range: linear footage, number of gates (each gate adds $400-$1,200 depending on hardware), terrain requiring stepped or racked installation, and whether we hit caliche that needs pneumatic boring. Demo and haul-away of an existing fence adds $8-$15 per linear foot.

Every install includes: Ameristar OEM posts, rails, pickets, and hardware; concrete footings at 6-foot centers minimum (we go 5-foot in high-wind exposure zones); bracket and gate hardware torqued to spec; and alignment check after the first 30 days. The 730-Day Done Right Promise covers workmanship. Material defects fall to Ameristar’s 20-year limited warranty on residential products.

DIY or Call Us?

There’s honest work a homeowner can do, and there’s work that wastes your weekend and still needs us.

Check yourself: verify your property line with the Clark County assessor’s map before you dig. Call 811 for utility locates. Measure your run with a 100-foot tape, accounting for grade change. If you’re handy and have a post-hole digger, a helper, and three consecutive days without wind, you can set posts for a straight run on flat ground.

Call us when: the grade drops more than 12 inches over your run, you’re cutting into a retaining wall, you need gate posts that won’t sag under a 16-foot automated gate, or you’ve hit caliche six inches down and your auger is smoking. We’ve replaced three DIY installs this year in the Lone Mountain area alone where the posts were set 18 inches deep instead of the required 30 inches to bottom of footing. That’s not a repair. That’s a restart.

We carry Ameristar-compatible posts, rails, and hardware on our trucks. Most installs are completed in a single visit once materials are on-site. Call (855) 951-4361 and you’ll reach a live person, 24/7. Upfront pricing, no surprises.
