Cover Driveway & Pavers in Las Vegas, NV

Cover Driveway & Pavers: The Las Vegas Owner’s Guide

We stock and install Cover-compatible driveway and paver systems across Las Vegas, with most replacement projects running $5,000-$14,000 for full driveway replacement and paver patio installations ranging $3,500-$11,000 depending on material grade and site prep. Same-day assessments are available, and we carry common Cover paver profiles and base materials on our trucks. Most Las Vegas homeowners first notice trouble when settling or shifting appears after monsoon season, or when the original installation shows age from our extreme temperature swings.

Which Cover Models This Applies To

Cover produces several paver and hardscape lines that were distributed in the Las Vegas market between 2012 and 2019, primarily through regional landscape supply yards serving Summerlin, Henderson, and the northwest valley. The most common we encounter are the Cover Classic series (60mm residential pavers), Cover Pro series (80mm commercial-grade with beveled edges), and the short-run Cover Permeable line designed for water-smart landscaping compliance.

To identify your exact match, check the paver edge for an embossed “CV” stamp or a lot number sticker on the original pallet documentation. The Classic and Pro series share the same 4″ x 8″ and 6″ x 6″ nominal dimensions but differ in chamfer depth and color-through thickness. Here’s where owners get tripped up: Cover’s “Desert Sand” colorway from 2014-2016 used a different aggregate source than post-2017 production, so replacements from that era rarely blend seamlessly. We source OEM-matched lots when possible, but for discontinued colorways we recommend pulling pavers from a low-visibility area like the side yard to fill critical spots, then blending the repair zone with a contrasting soldier course.

Aftermarket equivalents from Belgard and Keystone match Cover’s dimensional specs but vary in compressive strength ratings. For driveway loads in Las Vegas, we won’t install anything below 8,000 PSI. Todd Mervyn learned that threshold the hard way on a redo job near Anthem where a previous contractor used 6,500 PSI patio pavers on a driveway. They crumbled in 18 months.

Signs Your Cover Driveway & Pavers Is Failing

  • Sinking or settling in isolated patches. This usually means the base material wasn’t compacted to 95% standard Proctor density, or our seasonal monsoon runoff washed out the bedding sand. In Las Vegas, caliche-heavy native soil expands and contracts dramatically, stressing whatever’s above it.
  • Pavers rocking or wobbling underfoot. The bedding layer has degraded or washed away. On Cover installations from the 2012-2015 era, we see this constantly because the original polymeric sand failed prematurely in our UV exposure.
  • Edge restraint pulling away from the perimeter. Plastic or aluminum edging spikes work loose in our freeze-thaw-lite cycles. Once the edge goes, the field spreads and the pattern drifts.
  • Efflorescence blooming white on the surface. Calcium hydroxide migration from the concrete base. It’s cosmetic but signals moisture is moving through the system instead of draining. In Las Vegas, this often traces back to irrigation overspray or poor grade.
  • Cracking or spalling on individual units. Cover’s 60mm residential line can’t handle point loads from RVs or heavy trucks. If you’ve got a 3/4-ton diesel parked on Classic-series pavers, this is predictable. The Pro series holds up, but most builders spec’d Classic to hit a price point.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Service Las Vegas Price Range What’s Included
Driveway Sealing (maintenance) $250-$700 Pressure wash, polymeric sand refresh, solvent-based sealant
Paver Patio Installation $3,500-$11,000 Excavation, base rock, bedding sand, pavers, edge restraint, compaction
Concrete Driveway Installation $4,500-$12,000 Removal, rebar or fiber mesh, pour, finish, control joints
Paver Driveway Installation $7,000-$18,000 Full base prep, geotextile, 6″ aggregate base, bedding layer, pavers, sealing
Driveway Replacement (full) $5,000-$14,000 Removal of failed surface, substrate evaluation, new installation

The spread in these numbers comes down to three things: how much failed material we’re removing, whether the base layer is salvageable, and your paver selection. Cover-compatible replacements in standard colors run toward the lower end; custom blends or large-format units push higher. We also factor access. Tight side yards in older Summerlin villages or hillside lots in MacDonald Highlands add labor hours.

Every driveway and paver job we do carries our 730-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s one of the longest workmanship guarantees in residential construction, and we put it in writing because the ground doesn’t lie, and neither do we.

DIY or Call Us?

There’s honest work a homeowner can do without getting in over their head. Check your irrigation spray patterns and redirect any heads hitting the hardscape. Pull a few loose pavers to see if the bedding sand is still there or washed out. Measure the sunken area to gauge whether it’s a 2-bag fix or a 2-ton problem.

Where DIY goes wrong is base repair. Proper compaction requires a plate compactor, moisture control, and lift thickness under 8 inches. Skip any of that and you’ll be redoing it in two years. Worse, cutting pavers with a wet saw exposes you to silica dust. In Nevada, that’s a documented hazard.

We’re not here to talk you out of trying. We’re here to fix it when the previous attempt didn’t hold. Call (855) 951-4361 and we’ll tell you straight whether it’s worth your Saturday or worth our crew.
